Okay , despite the previous determination not to talk about food , I'll share a TV recipe I tried yesterday that was lovely .
Demeris Phillips , that perky chef from Kentucky made a peach jam that sounded simple and tasty . What she did was to peel and dice 2 pounds of peaches and put them into a pan with 1/2 cup of sugar and 2 teaspoons of grated fresh ginger .After that had cooked enough to melt the sugar , she added the zest and juice from one lemon and cooked it gently until the mixture was thick .
It was wonderful !!!
She used it on a complex sandwich , but it could go into anything -over ice cream or fish or chicken , in a sweet salad dressing , into a sandwich of almost any type.....sooo good !
