The world as I know it seems as overstuffed as the painting in the last post ! The air is wrapped in thick, white, snowy mist . The road and infrequent traffic noise muffled under a blanket of its own. All is quiet. Winter is here .
There are some of us who prefer warmer weather (we all know who we are ! ) and cope with the less than desireable in many ways . One fellow-sufferer choses to torment friends with gorgeous vacation photos taken in the Caribbean ! The colors leap from the screen in riotous display ! The hues are exhuberant and speak of warmth,freedom,leisure and joy ! No small feat for those little pixels !
Another friend , who lived in Florida at the time , would call to chat . She specifically waited until we were experiencing single-digit temperatures . There would be wailings about how cold she was...freezing,even...had to wear a jacket . Duped once more by the display , we asked how cold it was, poor thing . The reply brought grinding of teeth..."It's down to 68 degrees !...her gloat finally peeking out from behind the act !
We choose to make soup and reach for Frost King's shrink-wrap window kits to keep out the
drafts . The first is easy...the second leaves us feeling like a one-armed paper hanger ! Oh , well...
