Clothes Horse or Donkey ?

There are times when finding the right partner is like shopping for clothes.When one looks at what fashion dictates for the season,some are easy to reject immediately,not only for one's self but for anyone in their right mind ! Others lure us into the dressing room hopeful that what looks great on the mannekin will also look great on us. There are several choices from this point on :
#1.doesn't fit at all #2.color all wrong #3.fits but style is all wrong #4.color okay,fit okay,we're uninspired but tempted to settle anyway #5.fit-Great !, color-Great ! , flatters and complements us from any angle !, makes us feel like a million bucks ! For the #5 choices, money is no object-there's always a payment plan-well worth it for the perfect fit ! Okay.that's the drill.Soooo why do we settle for #4 partners ? or,even worse...#1-#3 partners ???? Why settle because others tell us that's what we should have (do clothing designers even LIKE women ? hard to tell from some of those styles !) ? Just because someone likes us,doesn't mean they're right for us ! Now there's a concept ! We don't have to like them back,or worse, commit to a life together ! It's a disservice to you both-everyone needs to be loved for who they actually are,not who you hope them to be.It's cruel to live in a relationship where you love someone who doesn't love you,care for and about you,know you well enough to know what makes you happy and be moved by real love to do whatever that is to make it so. BUT,NO ! We are so afraid of being alone in a "couples" world,our hearts so painfully hungry that we do settle indeed-to our detriment.The chasm between dreams and reality is deep,wide and painful. "Hope deferred makes the heart sick".Truer words were never spoken ! Yet "programmed" as we are to see to the needs of others,seeing to our own needs falls by the wayside.Mom always told us there's someone out there for everyone. Ladies,develop your higher self,march into that dressing room unafraid and choose a #5 partner-DO NOT SETTLE !!
