Sweet Tea & conversation... a lovely way to spend a day

Leaping Cat + Iced Tea = Disaster

Hi , there ! After an interesting day out , a quiet lunch in front of HGTV seemed just the thing .
My blond wood tray table held everything I'd looked forward to eating , including a tall glass of iced tea . Things were going swimmingly ( no pun intended ) when The Ever Expanding Cat decided to heave herself off the floor and jump up for a visit . She landed almost on the tray table , grasping desperately at the shifting newspapers and missing , taking said papers...and the iced tea...with her . She was fine...no dents or dings...but I was less than amused . The carpet , you see , has a whimsical Sinatra name of "Summer Wind " . That translates for the rest of us as a creamy shade of WHITE !! Hmmm...white carpet...iced , lemony black tea...
after a mad dash to the linen closet for cleaning cloths , the mopping and muttering commenced . Stopping briefly to remind myself that I do really love her...she is good company...this doesn't happen often... mop , mop , mutter , mutter... It remains to be seen how successful the frenzied efforts were and whether there will be more stain from the tea or the cleaners used ... sigh...
She is now seemingly asleep on the daybed in the office as I write this , although her tail has the telltale twitch that indicates "playin' possum " . She is a wise kitty , after all .

  2. Kitty was just testing your cleaning ability to get tea out of white, yes smart she is.
We use this stuff called Spot Shot. It smells kinda strong and chemical laden but after I spray that on and leave it on for about a half an hour, then I fill up the washer on low with some warm water with some laundry soap and let it aggitate to get it going, then I get a hand towel or in reality one of my 'rags' and then soak it in that and rub around the spot shot and keep repeating until it's gone. It usually does the trick.
    Hope you got it out!
I bet kitty never does that again, unless she was quite amused by it. I used to have a cat that loved to get up on my table and knock off glasses but only if they were full of liquid ! not fun at all.
I love your smooth jazz radio :) It's playing some wonderful music.
Hope your having a lovely evening, or I should say a lovely late evening as it is late.
Talk to you soon sweet girl ♥
