Forgotten Sentinels
Yesterday , I stepped outside to check the side patio after the severe wind and thunderstorm . Setting the windblown stuff to rights and straightening up to stretch in the warmer sunshine , a bit of color caught my eye . There in the slightly weedy side garden bed , were the miniature daffodils and deep blue crocusses . They stood ,a faithful and forgotten testament to Spring and the cycle of life . The little daffs began last year as potted supermarket comforts on a still-wintry day...so dear and cheerful ! The cares of this current life had caused their bursting-forth to be unheralded by me . After the challenges of last week , their humble beauty was a balm to the soul... Comforts seem to come from unexpected places lately...these Spring beauties...kind people in stores...gifts of time and encouraging words from friends... There is a Presence guiding my path . The focus must be on God to see the path and appreciate the blessings along the way...
