Sweet Tea & conversation... a lovely way to spend a day

Pursuit of Dreams

Dream vacations were a topic of conversation lately...tropical , in general and tropical sail cruises , specifically . The premise was that sailing through the Caribbean , without time or monetary constraints, would provide fulfillment of a dream in a quiet, peaceful manner . Not one for cookie-cutter ,big-hype amusements , this seemed to fill the bill . The thousands of islands therein were ripe for exploration...the possibilities endless !
Now to the specifics :
1- Time of Year - This mandates a non-hurricane season ! December through June is generally free from such storms and avoiding winter up North is always a good thing !
1- The Boat - The sailboat needs to be big enough to avoid claustrophobia , broad enough to be more stable (to prevent motion sickness,as much as is possible [yes, I know, it's a boat ! ] ), and come with an experienced crew to run the thing ! And since we're dreaming...a chef to feed one well .
The idea of meandering through beautiful islands...stopping to swim and snorkel...taking photos and hammock dozing...visiting onshore and finding quaint places to stay overnight...did I fail to mention my inability to sleep on anything that moves ??? Ah , well , this is a dream vacation !...and back to it...the turquoise water , sugar sand beaches , swaying palms and the fragrance of flowers borne on gentle breezes is indeed the stuff of dreams ! Somehow , just writing this is a balm to the heart...and didn't cost a thing ! Have a good day and...happy dreaming !
