My "day off "is becoming a real joy to me ! At this point , it is a day to be out with friends and takes on the definite flavor of playing hookey from school...that slight edge of rebellion and disobedience (more imagined than real ). No matter I'm supposed to be on my own...the giddiness remains ! There may come a time when the newness has worn off and the day will take on the guise of a workday where projects ,not possible when "on duty" ,can be accomplished . Rooms will be painted , pruning in the garden finally attended to and the mundane tasks completed . I'm not there,yet !! That heady feeling of reprieve for a few hours is still new...that profound sense of gratitude for this precious time ,pervasive . All I can do is take one day at a time and appreciate the lessons within...at least , that's the goal !
