It's Still Winter !

This morning was in the 20's . By the time the aide arrived and escape was possible , frost completely covered all the car's windows . The pattern was so beautiful...like a crystaline landscape...delicate , lacy , breathtaking ! Coming back to reality , the business of driving without an obstructed windshield became apparent . So much for art appreciation ! When the designated ice scraper left grooved , instead of cleared glass , sterner measures were called for . A quick shuffle through my wallet revealed one of the many supermarket ID cards...perfect ! Quick work was made of the icy mess and I was off (there are those who will snidely say I've been off for years...nevermind...).
The market had tulips !!! If ever there was an encouraging blossom for the winter weary , this is it ! I chose yellow and white ones for my best friend , who can use more sunshine . Deep pink ones with white markings came home for me . They had so many hues , it was hard to settle on just one .The red ones were a deep velvety crimson . Oh , for deeper pockets !
Have to dash and get a bite to eat before Mother wakes up . Enjoy whatever your day brings !
