Surprising Bits of Beauty

The view out my kitchen window rarely inspires joy.It looks into the windows of the house next door and privacy allows no scrutiny on either side . As washing dishes leads to daydreaming , I was surprised at a sudden movement in the sky . There,wheeling and dipping,was a small flock of seagulls ! They had caught a bit of an updraft and were seemingly playing up there ! The birds were so white against the finally blue skies...so free... It was impossible not to be swept up in the beauty of the moment. I am so grateful for all these theraputic bits of happiness . They seem to come from unexpected sources and maybe that's the gift...that we're not supposed to be so bogged down in our little lives that we miss the Big Picture...Life lessons without the classroom...
