County Park

Mother and I went to the park yesterday . It is situated on a peninsula jutting into the bay ,so one can park the car and enjoy a waterfront view in comfort( reminding me a little of the old drive-in movies ). The view,however, was quite different from its usual sunny day vista . Due to the combination of cold ground and unseasonably warm air,the entire area was wrapped in a soft grey blanket of fog . There was a dreamlike quality to it all...quiet...calm...peaceful . With no wind to speak of,the waves lapped gently against the shore...even the seagulls snuggled into the grass and dozed. The opportunity to be a part of all this was so refreshing !
