Leaf Peeper

There is a favorite place of mine to see the leaves . This place is spectacular not only in Autumn,but all year long ,as the trees overarch the road to shelter those passing below. Winter's show of black and grey elemental shapes gives way in Spring to that hopeful new-leaf green,and the sun plays through the delicate overlapping leaves . Summer produces a cool leafy tunnel,welcome respite from the heat,while Autumn brings a stained glass barrel vault ceiling that ends the season with showers of jewel-toned leaves. It is impossible to travel beneath this majestic display without awe and gratitude !
