and this is...June ???

There seems to be some confusion in the weather scheduling department . Even children know the drill..."April showers bring May flowers...".Um...this is June and it's been pouring for days ! With Memorial Day behind us,finally able to legally wear white again,we've looked forward to all those picnics,hikes,tennis games and wholesome outdoor activities. The countless brides hoped for beautiful weather for their outdoor receptions...still mild enough not to melt,not too many bugs,fewer complaints from guests who'd heard the outdoor party was to be in August...great wedding stuff. Today as I look out the window,the finches and sparrows are huddled miserably on the framework that supports my little porch roof. The rain drips off those tiny beaks that protrude its shelter ...not much birdsong in Mudville,folks ! The grass is long,deep green and luxuriant,the solar lights are a shadow of their former glow and...wait...what's that strange sound ? OOOOOOH NOOOOOOO,she wails !! It's the sound of sound of circulating water in my baseboards !!! THE HEAT IS ON !!!!
