Well , dears , we have survived the Nor'easter MegaStorm that dumped more than a foot of "precipitation" on us. To say March has come in like a lion is no understatement ! Today , the sun is blazing and brilliant...sparkling off the icy mounds and snow-capped trees . The roads are treacherous in this area , so the wise are at home...me , too !
Reassured the neighbors have fared well , the next order of the day was baking...as much for the end result, as for the warmth ! Pumpkin Walnut muffins made their debut...love the way the butter melts into them...why wait for them to cool ? The aroma wafts throughout the house and will tempt any who come to visit...if we can waddle over to answer the door ! It's been such a long time since I've baked..."life" seems to intrude on such leisurely pleasures lately , yet it is the simple thimgs that are such a comfort .
