Sweet Tea & conversation... a lovely way to spend a day

Sharing...

There are challenges for the caregiver of a dementia patient. When said caregiver is not feeling well , things escalate. An unfortunate combination of stresses , dehydration and birthday bliss conspired to make me ill . The prescription is rest, controlling reactions to stress and drinking lots of water . Easy to say...harder to implement . The" rest" turned out to be the most challenging . I wrote to a friend about a particular experience yesterday...to the sound of their resounding laughter ! I share it with you :
"...I did lie down to rest.Wisdom dictates that place of repose be within sight of Mother...that leaves...the wicker loveseat,(possible only in the fetal position ).Once covered with a little down comforter, the cat decided she should come up , too ! The only space available was the size of a small sizzle platter from your favorite steak place . Midnight , being an optomist, tried to fit her vast girth into said place . As luck would have it , my view was that of the south-facing end of my north-facing cat , complete with swishing tail ! Who said you can't have fun when under the weather ? "
Have a lovely day...finding joy and humor in whatever comes your way . Remember , if you're smiling , people will wonder what you're up to !
