I saw a movie on TV yesterday that struck me in many ways."Bucket List " is about two elderly men, terminal cancer patients who compile a list of things to do before they die...within the six months to a year seemingly allotted to them . The list included things like sky-diving,getting a tattoo, and kissing the most beautiful girl in the world . Beyond the testosterone-induced items were more important things...seeing something of incredible beauty , helping a complete stranger, laughing until tears came. The sizeable list on yellow-lined paper represented many of the things they wished they'd done . The goal was to make up for lost time before time ran out .
How many of us feel that way now ? What are we missing on a daily basis that will be a source of regret later ? Are our lives so frantic...running hard to stay in the same place...that the small blessings escape our notice ? Take the time now to give joy to others and to appreciate joy in your own life . You'll be amazed how things will change for the better !
