A Taste of Freedom

Today was the day to finally go for a walk ! Mom was in the care of her aide and the next hour or so was mine ! The boardwalk was wonderful,despite the cold air and the resistant zipper on the new jacket that refused to close. I enjoy the sounds of those well-trod boards...so musical...resonating back to childhood beach forays.The wind-driven clouds were gorgeous...it was perfect! Even the Ensure bottlecap that couldn't be opened by chilly little fingers( for a portable breakfast) couldn't dampen my enthusiasm.Somehow the absurdity of the challenges only served to bring on the giggles...and under the circumstances , laughter is good medicine !
