Rescue

Things have been moving quite quickly since our doctor visit on Monday. Fifteen minutes after arriving home from his office , the Visiting Nurse's office was on the phone to arrange for an evaluation the very next day ! The lady,recognizing aspects of her mother(similarly afflicted ) in mine , was most kind, understanding and encouraging.Wednesday brought a call that one of the home health aides had a cancellation and would be able to come to us to bathe Mom (who was livid about the whole experience !).Yesterday, the Visiting Nurse's office called to tell me a regular aide would be coming twice a week,for two hours each , and that it wasn't necessary for me to stay here during the visit .Talking to my son about all this last night brought his comment that I could use that time to get back to my life .Having taken care of family,of one type or another,all this time ,will require some thought to figure out what that is ! Today brought another call to announce a visit in a little while with another VN lady to fine tune this new program . What a blessing !
